A Sea of Love
A story that began in the city, sealed by the sea — our story and the future we’re building.
It all started the way so many good New York stories do — over a drink, with jaded optimism and no expectations. A first date at a moody bar in the West Village turned into hours of conversation, googly eyes, laughter, and the quiet realization that something rare had found us. From that night forward, life became a shared rhythm — equal parts grounding and electric. A couple months later our seal-pup pitbull girl, Canyon, was adopted (who immediately assumed the role of emotional support, comic relief, and neighborhood celebrity). Somewhere along the way, it became clear that this wasn’t just a love story — it was the beginning of a family story.
Soon enough, the city shifted with us. We flew the Manhattan coop and found ourselves in Brooklyn, building a home (and garden) rooted in intention, creativity, and care. Somewhere between morning coffee walks and sunset runs with Canyon, Paris happened: a winter weekend at a château, a proposal at the Rodin Museum, and a very emphatic yes — one of those Rom-Com stories both cheesy and wholehearted. We imagined constantly, planned loosely, and learned endlessly — about patience, resilience, and how to show up for one another. And as with any meaningful adventure, there were peaks and valleys — sea cliffs, lakes, and a Canyon. Feelings of certainty followed by moments of reflection, and growth — all in which led us to this day. Our celebration of love.

Future Family
Now, as we look towards the next chapter — planning a wedding celebration in Puerto Escondido, Mexico — we feel immense gratitude for the community that surrounds us. And beyond that, we’re dreaming ahead: an eventual move back west to California to be closer to family, and the beginning of our surrogacy journey as we plan for our own family we’ve always envisioned. That’s right…a Baby Greg…or Baby Marlin! In place of a traditional registry, we’re sharing this story with openness, hope, and love. If you feel inspired to support our future family planning, please know that your contribution isn’t just a gift—it’s a quiet vote of confidence in love, possibility, and the life we’re building together. No matter how you show up, we’re so thankful you’re part of this story.
